Daywise Itinerary

  • Day 1
  • Arrive at Leh
    Upon arrival at Leh Airport, you will be received by our travel executive who will further guide you to your pre-booked hotel for check-in. On day one, you can relax, enjoy food and take rest while enjoying the view from your hotel window.

Day 2

Leh to Sham Valley

On Day 2, post-breakfast you will drive to Sham Valley alongside the rippling River Indus on Leh – Kargil Highway. En route visit Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Magnetic Hill and the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar River. You also can visit Likir Monastery, which is one of the most popular and active monasteries in this region.
While driving up to the monastery, you will witness an image of Maitreya on the open site. It is indeed one of the gorgeous views you’ll witness here in Ladakh. Next, visit Uletokpo or Tingmosgang while you’re on your way to Ridzong Monastery. This monastery is concealed in a steep valley and looks very dramatic from a certain distance.

Day 3

Sham Valley to Leh via Lamayuru

After breakfast at the camp, drive to the ancient Lamayuru Monastery and en route visit the Moonland to get magnificent views of Moon Landscapes that reminds you of the formations you see in a Moon. Lamayuru is a gorgeous place in a valley plain, surrounded by majestic mountains on all the sides. You can visit Alchi Gompa, one of the complex temples located in this village and it dates back to the 11th century.
After that drive back to Leh for an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 4

Leh-Nubra valley via Khardungla

On Day 4, after breakfast, start driving to Nubra Valley and en route visit Khardung-La-pass, which is the highest motorable road in the world, as it lies approximately at a height of 18,380-feet. Nubra Valley is also known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers and you will find many beautiful flowers here. After that, you will reach Hunder. Here, check-in at our camp or hotel. Later visit the famous Diskit Village in this region and also enjoy a Camel ride on the cold dessert’s sand dunes.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp or hotel.

Day 5

Nubra Valley-Leh

Post breakfast, on day 5, you will drive back to Leh following the same route via the highest motorable road, Khardung-la. Upon arrival, check-in at your hotel and later explore the Leh market for shopping and return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6

Leh to Lake Pangong

On day 6, you will have to gear up for a full day trip to Pangong Lake en route visit Thiksey, if you want to witness monks following their daily routine. On the way to Pangong Lake, you will pass through Changla pass. At a height of about 17,586 ft, it is the world third highest motorable road. After driving for a while, you will reach Tangtse, where you can have a cup of tea/coffee. After that, start your journey ahead to see the serene lake. Pangong Lake has a brilliant colour variation, including dark green, deep blue, turquoise, etc.
Overnight stay will be at a hotel/camp near the lake.

Day 7

Pangong Lake to Leh

In the morning, explore the beauty of the lake and start your journey back to Leh en route visiting Hemis Monastery, which is the Drukpa Kagyut Order of the Tibetan Buddhism culture. Start driving to Leh after the halt and check-in at the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 8

Leh to Airport

On the 8th day, it’s time to bid goodbye to Leh and go back to your home taking back a lot of unforgettable memories.
